Don’t Give Up.
If I could say anything to you, anything at all, it would be DONT GIVE UP! Let’s face it, life sometimes is hard. Being a Christian can be challenging especially when we have all types of things that pressure us, demand our attention and consume our time. We can be faced with situations that seem like there is no hope, no way out. If your at all like me, everyday has it’s won set of challenges. Jesus himself said that in this world you and I would have tribulation. But the last part of what Jesus us said is to be of good cheer, because He has overcome the world (John 16:33). That’s right, you and I already win. I believe that is one of the greatest tricks of the devil is to make us think that we are going through this alone, that no one will understand, and that all hope is lost. But the truth is, that is nothing more than a lie. We have the victory in Jesus. The Bible says in Revelation 12:11 that they overcame by the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. The devil wants us to fail. He wants to try to paint an incorrect picture of who our God truly is and the canvas that he wants to use is our lives. Don’t let him. Stand up, be strong and don’t give up. Keep on living for God no matter what. God will show Himself strong in you. There is no temptation, no trial, no situation that is too big for God. We must be strong and endure. Our generation is counting on us to show them that our God is strong and powerful. We need to show them that they can be free from addiction, free from fear, free from hurt, to know that there is a Love that is stronger than anything else in the world . They need to know that He is alive and all powerful. The best part about this is that God wants to use our lives to do that. It might get tough and life might bring hurt, but remember what Jesus went through for us. He needs us and wants to use our lives to show His Love.
So how do we NOT GIVE UP?
2 Timothy 3:14-15 tell us to remember what we have been taught. Hold onto all the things that your Pastor, Youth Pastor, Parents have taught you about God and about His word. It is in holding onto those things that will give us the strength that we need to overcome and save our generation.
“14 But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it 15 and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” - 2 Timothy 3:14-15 ESV
12 Not that I have already obtained this or am already perfect, but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. 13 Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. - Phil 3:12-14 (ESV)
